Carjacking charge upgraded to homicide on Long Island

The SCPD reported the victim of carjacking in Deer Park had died of injuries as of today's update. The original incident was reported on December 11 around 8:30pm on Brook Avenue where the victim, male, 65 years old was minding his own life inside his vehicle when two suspects out of nowhere approached and pushed him out. Then assaulted the victim and the suspects took off with the victim's vehicle, a Mitsubishi.

On Friday, December 13, the victim died.

The SCPD detectives are actively working on this case.

So far no arrests.
