Burglaries in northeast Queens demanding arrests by residents

Burglaries are at an all time high in the northeast section of Queens reported by the 105 and 111 Precincts.

The most incidents occurred in Little Neck followed by Douglaston and Bayside. For the year 2024, there were 214 burglaries by the 111th Precinct and 632 by the 105th Precinct covering the entire stretch south of Queens Village.

A new location is now reporting an increase and it's the border line of Fresh Meadows and Hollis Hills.

The NYC Mayor refused to disclose the details of the breakdown of the crimes whether migrants were also involved in the burglaries.

Several residents in the Glen Oaks and Bellerose section reported intruder alerts with suspects walking inside homes only to leave when the noise of screams were out.

As for the overall Queens, Queens Blvd reported the most burglaries and burglary attempts from the area apartments.

The NYPD issued a warning not to let strangers inside the vestibules from outside.
