Bullets and pursuit with two shot on Roosevelt Avenue in Elmhurst

Last night around 3am, police reported a shooting on Roosevelt Avenue where two suspects fired toward a group in a vehicle. This is by 89th Street in Elmhurst.

Police arrived at the scene and followed the vehicle toward 89th Street northbound. Police fired a shot after one of the suspects aimed the gun toward them.

EMS transported the bullet victims from the vehicle that was fired by the suspects.

Local residents on Roosevelt Avenue went into a panic mode from the bullets into hiding.

Police lost the vehicle during the pursuit.

So far no arrests.

Residents have been complaining of gang related violence on Roosevelt Avenue from Woodside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Corona to Flushing for a while.
