Building collpase on Jericho Turnpike in Bellerose

Bellerose incident on westbound Jericho Turnpike.

The NCPD and NYPD is on Jericho Turnpike reporting a structure of a commercial building partially collapsed. This is by 245th Street near the Cross Island Parkway.

EMS reported injuries to people trapped inside.

Also, EMS is checking for civilian injuries from the sidewalk.

Westbound Jericho Turnpike is delayed with traffic due to emergency personnel working on the scene. FDNY are also on the scene. Delays on eastbound due to onlookers.

Avoid the route for now.

The building dept officials are also on the scene saying the signage came off from the furniture store which landed on parked vehicles with people inside.
