Brooklyn man arrested after cashing checks illegally in Nassau County

Mineola - Police arrested Walter Tyler, 54 on Thursday, June 1 for allegedly cashing checks using fake id using Maryland driver license. Around 12:30, Tyler cashed $1,880 from TD Bank in Hempstead. The same day around 1pm, another $1,880 was cashed at TD Bank in Garden City. Around 1:30pm, another $1,880 was presented to the teller and became suspicious. That's when police were notified and Tyler was placed under arrest. He has been charged with theft, possession of a forged instrument and other charges. pic by NCPD. Reported 9am.
