Bronx man arrested for operating a stolen vehicle

On March 20, 2025, Troopers from Troop NYC, SP Rockaways, arrested Tymir Gordon, age 22, of Bronx, NY, for the following charges:   Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, a class A misdemeanor and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor.

Troopers were on patrol when they observed Mr. Gordon operate a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a defective headlight, swerve unsafely out of its lane.  Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the Belt Parkway near Exit 11S in Brooklyn, in the vicinity of the violation, and found the Jeep he was operating was flagged as stolen from a car rental company in Massachusetts.  Gordon was placed under arrest for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator.
