Body found in chimney at NYC public school days after classes end for summer

That's when they called the cops.

Police say they got word of the incident just before 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The 2025-26 academic year ended last week for New York City public schools. There were no students or school staff in the building at the time of the discovery, the law enforcement source said.

P.S./I.S. 113 serves about 750 kids in pre-K through eighth grade. Students were last in the building on Friday.
