Bayside man busted for sneaking into another room in a Manhasset hotel

The NCPD reports the arrest of a Bayside man at 5:05am today in Manhasset. According to detectives, at approximately 3:00am defendant Michael C. Lee, 29, of Bayside, New York while staying at the Travelodge located at 1177 Northern Boulevard did enter the female victim's rented room by pushing open an unlocked sliding window. The female victim, 33, was confronted by the defendant and called out to her boyfriend, 44, for help. They demanded to know why the defendant was in the room and asked for his identification. The defendant complied handing over his license but then fled the room. The victim noticed that her money was missing and contacted police. Subsequent to the investigation police located the defendant and placed him under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported. Defendant Michael C. Lee is charged with burglary 2nd degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday April 16, 2021 in Mineola.
