Basement fire at a commercial reported in Bayside

The FDNY reported a basement fire at a commercial building in Bayside. This is on Northern Blvd by 219th Street at the local bakery store. The fire started around 1pm and was brought under control within 15 minutes. EMS reported no injuries.

The NYC Health Dept say all is well on the main floor of the bakery to serve their customers and wasn't affected.

The location, Lulu and Dino Cafe, a Parisian cafe is a long time fixture in the community and for those traveling on Northern Blvd knows its a stop and go for coffee and pastry.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
