Barneys NY filed for bankruptcy and expected to close 15 locations

Barneys NY has filed for bankruptcy and expecte to close 15 stores. The Manhattan main store on Madison Avenue will remain open along with Chelsea location. The other three are in Boston, San Francisco and Beverly Hills. The two warehouses in Livermore, California and Hudson Valley will also remain for storage. Higher rent is one of the problem reported by the company.
