Arrest in Westbury

Third Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Rockville Centre man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 4:15 pm in Westbury. According to detectives, officers responded to a 911 call for gun shots fired at the Pines Motor Lodge located at 101 Taylor Avenue.  During the investigation, it was determined no firearms were discharged but a handgun was recovered in one of the rooms. Terence Cunningham, 37, of 413 Jefferson Avenue was arrested without incident. Defendant Cunningham is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.  He will be arraigned on Friday, May 12, 2023 at First District Court, Hempstead.
