Armed robbery at a local Carvel in Massapequa

Police are at 5596 Merricks Road reporting armed robbery. This is at the local Carvel ice cream place. Reported the suspect displayed a knife and then took off with cash and the donation jar. The suspect jumped over the counter while patrons including children were around. A few bystanders knocked the suspect down. Police arrested the suspect now complaining of pain.
