Armed robbery and a dead body investigation in Nassau County

The NCPD reported armed robbery at the local McDonald's in Roosevelt. This is on Nassau Road. A lone suspect entered the eatery and robbed a victim of cash. Then took off on foot.

EMS treated the victim on the scene.

On Friday around 11:30am, police closed off Pennisula Blvd and Lakeview Avenue in Rockvile Centre reporting human remains were found at the abandoned camp in the woods.

This is near the local state park.

The medical examiner transported the body pending autopsy.
