Almost 1 500 people getting attacked in transit

The NYPD reported 1,488 transit crimes in NYC as of today from January 1 for this year. This is the highest ever and a record for NYC. The year 2021 reported 998 transit crimes.

Almost 12% involve tourists and out of state visitors.

The number is expected to double before the end of this year.

So far no elected officials have responded to the transit crimes but still encourage all to take public transportation while they all have fossil fuel vehicles with chauffeur.

With congestion pricing nearing, more people are moving to public transit now seeking alternate transportation.
