Allison Russo Way honored today

Today at 11am, there was a plaque dedication ceremony to honor the late EMS Captain Alison Russo at the local firehouse, Station 49 at 19-40 42nd Street in LIC. She was promoted to Captain posthumously.

42nd Street between 19th and 20th Avenues was renamed to Alison Russo Way.

Captain Russo was a 25 year dedicated veteran of the FDNY until she was murdered on September 29, 2022.

The suspect who attacked her without provocation has been charged since then.

Her memory lives forever and is not forgotten.
