All pursuits resulted arrests on Queens highways

The NYPD Highway Patrol and the NYSP reported as of this morning, all pursuits resulted with arrests mainly on the Cross Island Parkway.

Whitestone Expressway had three police patrols monitoring vehicles from the Bronx to Queens.

Last night around 8pm, a driver up to no good struck a Westchester County Patrol vehicle which took off southbound. An alert sent out tracking the vehicle to the Cross Island Parkway by the Whitestone Expressway where the suspect's vehicle was surrounded by three police patrol vehicles unable to escape. The driver surrendered without hesitation. Police hauled away the driver and the passenger from the vehicle.

Another driver was arrested on the Clearview Expressway southbound by 35th Avenue Exit in Bayside where the pursuit resulted into crash and the vehicle caught fire also last night.

Grand Central Parkway eastbound before the Nassau border for reckless endangerment has one in custody.

Charges are pending for all involved.
