A pedestrian struck by vehicle in Lynbrook

Police have closed off Merrick Road and Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook reporting a pedestrian has been struck by vehicle. It happened around 9:30am. The driver remains on the scene and is cooperating with the police. As of 12pm, the pedestrian is in serious condition. Ongoing investigation.
