A pedestrian struck by vehicle died in Middle Village

The NYPD reported a pedestrian riding a bicycle died after being struck by a vehicle in Middle Village. This is in the vicinity of Juniper Blvd and 80th Street.

The incident was reported at 5pm this evening.

The victim, a 50 year old male is being transported by the medical examiner to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Police say the vehicle, FDNY Rescue, remains on the scene and cooperating with the investigation.
