A new rate is coming in few days for all in NY

Now now now pay up without choice to the new utility hike in NY starting April 2026 with National Grid. It's all supported by the NY governor, NYC Mayor and almost all the elected officials whether you like it or not approved by the Public Service Commission.

As for ConEd, the hike is already effective this year by 9% for electric and 6% for gas. The next hike is expected to be announced in the fall for NYC residents.

This lies with NY alone who has the power to lower the rate but it will keep on increasing.

Average U.S. electricity rate: 18¢/kWh while NYC residents pay 31¢/kWh which is 72% higher.

No one is exempt from the hike including new buildings that's all electric where tenants are paying everything except property taxes apart from the rent which is the average of $3,000 a month which claims to be affordable.

There is no point in crying to your local elected officials because their message is the following, it's heartbreaking to see the rates go up and we will do something about it.

Ok back to work to pay the bills.
