A new crime trend is making headlines in Queens

Here we go with radar sensors. Geez, never knew this!

The NYPD report loser suspects are targeting vehicles stealing front radar sensors designed for adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance. The usual cost to replace the sensor is between $2,000 and $3,000.

The lead vehicle target is Honda followed by Toyota and Mazda.

Another theft reported is on Volkswagen vehicles with ACC sensor thefts.

The one vehicle that has safety features from sensor thefts is Tesla.

To avoid all this mess in NYC, just walk or peddle with CitiBike. For long distance take the subway or the public bus as both are equipped with climate control for year round weather.
