3 year old twins died after swimming pool tragedy in Melville

Police were called to Holly Court in Melville on Wednesday, July 26 around 9am reporting two toddler twins drowned in the backyard pool of a home. According to police, the pool was under renovation. Both were recovered from the pool and transported to Plainview Hospital where they died later. Ongoing investigation. Update - The mother was sleeping and the twins who were autistic went outside. When the mother heard noise of water splash, she woke up and saw one by the pool floating. She pulled him and performed CPR and firefighters jumped into the pool to recover the other twin from the base ground unconscious. Police are waiting for medical examiner's report to continue the investigation. So far no charges has been filed. They recently moved to Melville from Queens. The twins names are Anthony and Nicholas Aurilia. pic from FB.
