2nd Republican added to NYC Council

Republican Robert Holden defeated Democrat Elizabeth Crowley by 133 votes. Holden had 10,221 and Crowley with 10,088. Voters are celebrating Holden's win. Crowley's major setback came when she was accused of lying during the homeless shelter saga in Maspeth. Holden is the second Republican in NYC Council after Eric Ulrich, another Queens location covering mainly Howard Beach.
