2030 maybe 2050 with more billions for JFK

$19.5 billion taxpayer funds is not enough for the new JFK under construction and no timeline when Terminal 1 and 6 will be ready with modernization. The same with Terminal 5, 7 and 8.

Some predict 2040 while others say 2050 when it's all complete with maybe more touch ups around the roads and runaways.

The goal is to connect all passenger active terminals which are 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8 instead of separate commutes all around which may require more time.

The Port Authority has been busy with more than 100 different vendors approved by the NYS to complete the new JFK when the construction plan started in 2017 for the terminals.

Terminal 1 will open with each phase starting June 2026 costing $9.5 billion and expected to complete all phases by 20230 with new stores and food halls to gates easily accessible to the planes.

For the year 2023, the number of travelers was a record for JFK at 62.46 million and it is expected to reach 100 million by 2050. JFK is the 6th largest in terms of number of passengers in the US and the number one belongs to Atlanta, the head of Delta hub.

The numero uno belongs to Changi Airport in Singapore for international travel.

Hey, NYC is the 8th largest economy hub in the world and soon to reach the 5th spot while Tokyo has been remaining on top for more than 20 decades.
