You must report to work for the government in NYC

The NYC Mayor says there will be a school session on Monday despite the weather as of now. After all, the Mayor came from Uganda where there was no special weather day and went to school daily.

The usual reason is taxpayer funds which must continue to operate as usual in NYC including schools without interruptions. Meals will be provided for over 100,000 children living in the shelter and other city approved locations. Everyone must work as usual for the week since it's not nice to have a break or have fun.

NYC and Long Island are bracing for snow and the information is similarly announced to the public from the weather stations.

Here is the best one -

National Weather Service and local forecasts show snow starting late Saturday night into Sunday and continuing into Monday evening.

Snow totals are expected around 8–12 inches and maybe more across NYC followed by little sleet mixing. The heaviest time for snow fall is Sunday afternoon to night with wind and cold temperature affecting travel.

WORD OF ADVICE - The salt from city trucks are not safe for vehicle brakes which can cause damage. Have the wheels covered or rinse the brakes with water afterward from replacing new brake rotors and pads.
