Woodside is waiting for new tenants with love

Under the affordable housing plan, two new buildings are seeking tenants. This is for Woodside Central at 46-09 69 Street and 46-10 70th Street in Woodside. The first one is 15 stories and the latter is 12 stories.

Of 478 total units, 144 are set aside for area median income from

144 units for residents at 80 percent of the area median income $55,886 to $115,280. The studio rent is $1,511, 1 bedroom is $1,579 and 2 bedrooms is $1,824.

Tenants are responsible for electricity, which covers the stove under the new building with no gas stoves and heat, and hot water.

That's right, developers are laughing all the way to the bank with elected officials campaigning to ban fossil fuels while tenants will have to pay for heat, cooking and hot water powered by electricity.

Now it's time to give all your earnings on rent and utilities.
