Woman shot while leaving subway station in LIC

Police are investigating of a woman shot outside the subway station at 41st Avenue and 10th Street in LIC. It happened around 7am. Police reported the victim may not be the target as she was walking with another woman who maybe the intended. The suspect was waiting at the entrance of the station and shot the victim. The woman is in stable condition at a local hospital. So far no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
