Woman 69 tricked into trading USD5K in jewelry for fake winning lottery ticket NYPD says

According to the NYPD, two men are accused of deceiving a woman into exchanging $5,000 worth of jewelry for what she thought was a winning lottery ticket. The suspects reportedly approached the 69-year-old woman at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Saturday on 78th Street in Woodhaven, Queens. They allegedly informed her that they were unable to cash the ticket because of their immigration status.
