Whitestone residents to hold demo for traffic safety

Friday, May 4 at 4pm at the corner of Murray Street and 17th Road in Whitestone will have demonstration to bring safety measures for traffic control. This intersection has been the cause of over 9 horrific accidents in the past year alone. The Department of Transportation has been contacted numerous times regarding safety at this corner, and the need for a 4 way stop, or a light, or speed bumps to ensure that motorists slow down before approaching this dangerous intersection. They have responded negatively by stating that, according to their records, the intersection doesn't warrant action. Open to the public.
