Whitestone man busted for catalytic converter thefts all over Queens

Police arrested Michael Cipriati, 33 of Whitestone and charged with stealing catalytic converters in various location across Queens. Police reported over 15 converters were stolen from vehicles parked in the streets. The incident happened betwee October t December 5, 2017. Some of the locations listed were Little Neck, Flushing, College Point, Jackson Heights ad Astoria. After the theft, they were sold in parts to recycling plants in the Bronx. Cipriati was arraigned on Thursday, December 7 from his home after investigation. He has been charged with thefts, criminal mischief, possess of stolen properties, driving a vehicle without license and etc. His bail is at $20,000. If convicted, he is heading to jail for fur years.
