Whitestone construction company under investigation

Parkside Construction located in Whitestone is under investigation by NYC Dept of Investigation after more than 500 workers reported of being allegedly cheated and ripping off the state in excess of over $8 million dollars. The press announcement was reported today afternoon along with Manhattan DA's office. Charges are from fraud, larceny to other charges. Overy 500 workers were not paid accurately in various construction sites in NYC. Manhattan DA's office confirmed many of the workers were undocumented immigrants. Beside the $8 million from the state, investigation didn't disclose the dues for workers. The company owners, Franceso and Salvatore Pugliese along with others were named as defendants. Parkside Construction workers are non-union and the DA's office stated they are working with Dept of Labor for further details.
