Welcome auxiliary cops to NYC subways

The NYPD commissioner announced a boost of auxiliary cops inside subway stations to control crimes. An auxiliary officer is a volunteer citizen for the police force, helping them with patrolling and other duties, typically in their own communities. They aren't allowed to enforce the law or engage in dangerous tasks. With no guns, NYPD reported the presence of auxiliary cops will make commuters feel safe. They will be stationed in the top 20 spots of high risk areas to observe and alert real cops during crimes. The NYPD is hiring more auxiliary positions to have more volunteers to let the people of NYC know it's safe.
