Warning indicator for truck drivers coming to Long Island

NYS Governor Cuomo announced on Tuesday, December 5 a new electronic system will be setup for all highways and parkways that will alert truck drivers of height restrictions ahead before the bridge to exit. It will cost $4.3 million. This includes all vehicles from school buses to other form of tractor trailers. The technology once passes certain routes will warn a message on the display to exit. Currently, the technology is limited with cameras which are recorded for police investigation. A date for release has not been announced.
