Walk and smile to peeps for the oldest profession on Roosevelt Avenue

Operation Restore Roosevelt which was launched on October 14, 2024 by the NYC Mayor and locals to curb illegal brothels, sex trafficking, unlicensed vendors, and other quality-of-life concerns on Roosevelt Avenue made some major improvements.

However, the oldest profession continues to thrive but this time away from schools and locations where locals cry or complain.

The NYPD on patrol continue to monitor the area from Corona, Elmhurst to Jackson Heights.

Two groups continue to operate the strong foothold which are Asians and Hispanics. The latter is declining after most of the migrants left the area under the new president.

Solicitors continue to operate on Roosevelt Avenue by walking and smiling for potential customers instead of standing around waiting for one.

The NYPD command center by Baxter Avenue has also been discontinued after the Mayor's Office says the activity has been decreasing. One decreasing target was illegal vendors and NYPD went full force curbing that pleasing local small businesses.
