Voting began for anything goes on housing in NYC

Today, the NYC Planning Commission will vote on the Mayor's ambitious project paid by developers, City of Yes.

The plan is garage, basements, attic, shed, dog sized and anything goes housing in NYC. The best one is to add another extension to a home to rent.

According to the Mayor's Office, people under 45 and independents along with renters support the plan while homeowners and coop/condo doesn't leave the balance to 50:50 ratio.

If passed, single family zoning will be the first to say buh bye followed by R3 zoning to R6 minimum for towers under affordable housing. The most affected in Queens will be Jamaica, Corona, Jackson Heights, Woodside, Sunnyside, Glen Oaks and Bellerose.

Once the zoning changes in Bellerose Glen Oaks Floral Park vicinity after Creedmoor housing plans complete, the area will adapt to towers.

Best one, when nuisance neighbors as tenants living around you, call 311 and wait a while to respond. This will affect the northeast residents especially.

Meanwhile enjoy the view of towers around you.

Enjoy.

Update - The vote is 10-3 in favor of the City of Yes. The next step is City Council vote and if that pass, the Mayor will sign it.
