Violent crime continue to plague a local park in Brookville

Local residents have been demanding police patrol around Brookville Park in Brookville after gangs have taken over the area.

The latest incident reported on Lansing Avenue by 232nd Street of a dispute between two gangs resulted with multiple shots fired around 2am.

This is near the Belt Parkway and North Conduit Avenue.

Detectives are checking hospitals for bullet victims.

ESU recovered shell casings.

Ongoing investigation.
