VP Debate tonight

The 2024 United States vice presidential debate is tonight at 9pm on major networks. This is between newcomers, Senator JD Vance of Ohio and Tim Walz, Minnesota Governor. The debate is 90 minutes long. The moderators are Norah O'Donnell and Margaret Brennan.

There will be no audience at the CBS Studios in NYC where people are outside from both sides of Harris and Trump.

Candidates can't bring notes and will have two four minute commercial breaks where campaign staff can't interact on the stage.

Each candidate will have two minutes to respond to a question and one minute rebuttal.

Mikes will not be muted but CBS News reserves the right.

Both candidates are from rural towns, served in the military and went to politics.

The difference is JD Vance supports capitalism and free market economy while Tim Walz favors communism and socialism.
