Update on the Kissena Park investigation

The NYPD confirmed this is a rape investigation.

Now on a massive hunt for the suspect, male, Hispanic.

On June 13 around 3:30pm, inside of Kissena Park in the vicinity of Colden Street and Kalmia Ave in Flushing, a suspect displayed a machete and forced a male, 13 and a female, 13 into a wooded area. He then proceeded to forcibly removed the cellphones of both victims and sexually assaulted the female victim before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Police sources stated both victims were tied up with shoelaces.

The individual sought is described as a male Hispanic, approximately 5’ 5” in his 20s, with curly hair, last seen wearing red sneakers and carrying a green backpack. He appeared to have dental braces on his teeth and had a tattoo of a boar or a bull with red eyes on his chest.

Police also found both phones near the area that were stolen from the victims.

The CSI is working around the clock to match the fingerprints from the evidence gathered so far.

The NYPD is also checking all migrant locations including Creedmoor for the suspect matching the description.

A reward of up to $10,000 for information regarding this rape incident.
