Update on the CP shooting

NYPD Chief Carlos Valdez reported a call to 911 of domestic violence at a home on 125 Street and 25th Avenue in College Point after a female was brutally beaten. The incident was reported on September 13 around 4:45pm. First, unmarked patrol vehicle with NYPD officers arrived at the scene. The suspect inside the home fired shot with a rifle striking a vehicle parked outside. No officers were hit or injured. Shortly, the suspect surrendered without incident after calls for back-up. The investigation continues. Today, NYPD confirmed the suspect is a gang member with multiple arrests. Charges are pending.
