Update on JLM and BLM protests

Last night in Brooklyn, BLM protesters marched toward NYPD 79th Precinct. NYPD confirmed several police officers were attacked with throwing objects and metal barriers in front of the station. Police had vests, shields and other protective equipment to keep them safe all night from the protesters. There were no arrests. NYC mayor and governor did not respond on this incident.

For JLM, NYPD were in Borough Park with no protective gear but gloves and masks. A journalist, Jacob Kornbluh reported he was attacked by protesters while doing his job. Cuomo quoted this, "There is no excuse for violence, especially against a reporter. It was disgusting behavior". Cuomo also called him and Kornbluh stated he is worried about contacting COVID. There were no arrests and politicians are outraged. The mayor quoted, "There clearly need to be consequences for anyone involved and I don?t know why that hasn?t happened yet."
