Update Cross Island Parkway southbound after Hillside Avenue is closed due to the late Detective McDonald s procession

Use alternate. Hillside Avenue, Jamaica Avenue, Hempstead Turnpike and all routes to Cross Island Parkway to Southern State Parkway is also closed momentarily. The late Detective McDonald's body is heading to Nassau County Medical Examiner's Office in East Meadow. Road closures heading to 2251 Hempstead Turnpike and heavy traffic. All lanes are now open.
