Two women shot in Ridgewood

Police closed off Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood reporting two women shot. This is by 66th Avenue. It happened around 8:30am. One is a 49 year old and the other is a 51 year old. This is inside an apartment when the suspect blasted bullets. The suspect took off in a vehicle. Both are in likely condition according to the EMS.

Heavy EMS, ESU, FDNY and police are working on the scene. Chopper and K-9 is assisting with the search. Ongoing investigation.

Update - Police stated one victim is an alleged girlfriend of the suspect and the other is a neighbor who went to confron the heated argument when both were shot. The suspect is male, Hispanic.

Second update - Both female victims died.
