Two teachers tested positive in NYC public schools

The UFT reported two teachers tested positive for COVID at PS 1 and MS 88. Both are in Brooklyn. Both returned to work and NYC DOE is allowing the co-workers to work from home after completing the contact tracing. Many staff walked out of schools for stating unsafe conditions. They are dead roaches, dusty desks, yellow water, etc. School Chancellor reported they are all being in the process of getting corrected. As of now, schools have random temperature checks. Several schools in NYC except Staten Island reported of teachers and staff walk-outs. The mayor will respond to this tomorrow during press brief if is ready.
