Two suspects arrested for the bank robbery in New Hyde Park

Police arrested David Freeland and Stephanie Boehringer on Friday and charged with bank robbery in New Hyde Park. Freeland of Huntington Station entered the TD Bank on Hillside Avenue and Cherry Lane around 10:30am and displayed a gun demanding money from the teller. From there, he took off in a vehicle in the parking lot driven by Boehringer. Police stopped their vehicle, Hyndai Accent on New Hyde Park Road and Lawrence Street in New Hyde Park. Both were taken into custody and charged with robbery and weapon possession. Around 9:49am, an Asian Indian male entered the same bank and was seen talking to both suspects after leaving in the parking lot. Police didn't disclose details on that.
