Two separate dead body investigation in Huntington

The SCPD closed off a local gas station in Huntington reporting a dead body was found inside a vehicle. This is on New York Avenue near Prime Avenue in Suffolk County.

The ESU removed the body and the medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

Detectives have not determined the cause of death awaiting the medical examiner's report.

Also in Huntington, a pedestrian died at the local hospital after a hit and run reported also on New York Avenue. Police are now on the hunt for the driver who took off in a Toyota.

Also in Suffolk County, the SCPD reported a dispute turned into shooting. This is in Farmingville and the incident reported on Saturday around 8pm in the vicinity of Redwood and Bayberry Lanes.
