Two people in critical condition after colliding with tractor trailer

Rosedale - JFK traffic is a mess after two people pinned inside their vehicle after struck under a tractor trailer. NYPD, EMS, FDNY are on the scene. Chopper is hovering above at Brookville Blvd and Rockaway Blvd. Witnesses stated driver of tractor trailer was making wide left and the driver of car, a Dodge sedan tried to overtake the front. Instead the vehicle went under the truck. Police reported both driver and passenger were pinned inside and removed taken to hospital. Both are in critical condition. Third person in the car refused medical attention along with the truck driver. The truck driver is cooperating with police. Area closed. Ongoing investigation. Reported 7pm.
