Two people have been arrested as a result of a domestic dispute in Delaware County

On December 5, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., New York State Police at Deposit were dispatched by the Delaware County 911 Center to an assault on County Route 17 in the town of Hancock.

An investigation revealed that during a domestic dispute, Nelson Lopez, age 40 of Roscoe, NY violated an order of protection and caused physical injury to Julianna C. Stowers-Lopez, age 40 of Roscoe, NY.  Stowers-Lopez caused serious injury to Lopez by stabbing him in the upper body.

Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by separate ambulances to Wilson Medical Center for treatment.
