Two men busted during an investigation into selling alcohol and E cigarettes to minors in Long Island

Suffolk County Police last night arrested two men during an investigation into selling alcohol and e-cigarettes to minors at two East Northport smoke shops. Second Precinct Crime Section officers in conjunction with officers from the Community Support Unit conducted an investigation into alcohol and e-cigarette sales to minors between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. in response to community complaints. Shivant Kumar, 28, of Bayside, an employee of Smokeez Smoke Shop, located at 324 Larkfield Rd., East Northport, was issued a field appearance ticket for Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree for selling e-liquid cartridges to a minor. Daniel Conroy, 20, of Smithtown, an employee of Legacy Smoke Shop, located at 39 Larkfield Rd., East Northport, was issued a field appearance ticket for Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Degree for selling beer to a minor. The employees of Metro Mart, located at 670 Route 25A, in Northport, complied and refused to sell beer to a minor. The arrestees will be arraigned at a later date. (Info from Suffolk County police)
