Two innocent women shot another dead in Queens

NYPD reported another violent night in NYC involving bullets.

Around 8pm last night, a woman walking was shot in the stomach when two people were shooting at each other inside their cars in Jamaica. It happened around 8pm on 142nd Street near Linden Blvd. One of the suspects escaped on foot and police tracked down nearby. During pursuit, the same suspect fired while climbing the fence to escape striking a 17 year old woman nearby. Police managed to apprehend the suspect.

Just before midnight, another drive by shooting on 121st Avenue and Sutphin Blvd. Driver and passenger were shot during a drive-by shooting. The 32 year old male died from bullets.

The safest city reported 5 shootings overnight with 2 dead and 1 stabbed to death in the Bronx. The 3 deaths were reported within 45 minutes.

Today, the NYPD Commissioner released the data.

58 people were shot over the 4th of July weekend. 4 died from bullets and 3 from knives. Murder is down by 12% compared to last year for the same weekend.

However, robberies, burglaries and felony assaults are all time high along with grand larceny exceeding 40%.
