Two dead after drowning reported at Far Rockaway

On July 9 around 10:15pm, police reported two people were in the water at Beach 9th Street and Seagrit Avenue in Far Rockaway. They were taken to St. John's Hospital. Both died according to officials. They are identified as Umarie Chamble, 25 and Keylon Ramsay, 28. Medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.
