Two dead after car crash on the Belt Parkway westbound

Around 4am last night, a car crash resulted with two dead on the Belt Parkway westbound by Springfield Exit in Laurelton.

The vehicle, Dodge Challenger collided with Mazda CX-5.

Both driver, male and passenger, female from the Challenger died. The driver of Mazda, female was not injured.

Police stated the Challenger driver rear ended the Mazda losing control. Then hit the police which split the vehicle in half causing the tragedy.

Ongoing investigation.
